Not requiring topical anesthetic eye drops makes it easy to measure IOP with Icare® in adults and even in poorly cooperating infants. Multiple-use of the probe can cause cross-contamination. Icare® tonometer is reliable, simple and fast to use. Single-use iCare probes ensure patients’ safety The probes are designed for single use only, and they should not be cleaned or re-used. The probes are available in 100 pcs/box or 600 pcs/box. Re-using probes could cause cross contamination of bacteria and it may shorten the life cycle of the device. Original iCare Probes TP01 are designed for use with tonometers IC100, IC200 and TA01i. Cleaning or mishandling the probe can damage it and affect the accuracy of the measurement results.
The probes are designed for single-use only and they should not be cleaned or re-used.
ICARE TONOMETER PROBES FREE
Icare probes are individually packaged for safe and contamination free measurement of each patient. The probe’s weight and straightness tolerances are very tight to ensure repeatable IOP measurements. The probe is a gold-plated metallic wire – which enables probe’s accurate movement in the magnetic field - and a small plastic tip made of medical grade plastic that gently touches the cornea. The measurement requires no air or anesthetic drops. It is recommended, to ensure patient safety and accuracy of IOP measurements, to only use original iCare probes only. To ensure reliable and accurate readings the probes should not be cleaned or re-used. Icare® tonometers work on a patented rebound principle, in which a light-weight probe moves in a magnetic field and makes momentary contact with the cornea. iCare Tonometer probes (TA022P) are packaged individually to ensure each patient has a safe and contamination free experience.
